Management at Swicon360 (Pty) Ltd. The solution is targeted at organisations that want to leverage off SAP-based reporting functionality to streamline data manipulation and management.

The launch of SpinifexIT represents a new level of reporting functionality in the workplace says Markus Bucher, CEO, Swicon360.
 
“SpinifexIT offers a suite of business process improvement reports that are aimed at areas within SAP where it is difficult to access data or those that require significant manipulation of data to produce reports,” says Bucher. “These areas include pre-pay exit such as pay-to-pay comparison, audit reporting, as well as monthly reporting including headcount, staff movement and leave reporting, to name a few.”
 
The essence of SpinifexIT is that it provides predefined, simple-to-use reports that are designed for the payroll office and finance staff.
 
“The reports allow the Payroll Office staff to create almost any report required from the SAP HR/Pay system. With the Toolkit, there will be no need for any further customised report development as the toolkit offers enough flexibility to produce almost any type of report from the system. The toolkit allows users to work exclusively within SAP instead of having to export to MS Excel for further manipulation,” Bucher continues. “All of the reports can be automatically emailed out to a person (or external vendor), to fully automate the provision of the relevant data. The email will have the report attached to it.”
 
Management at Swicon360 have identified three key areas where they believe SpinifexIT is differentiated in the market. These areas include ease-of-use, return on investment and fully customisable output.
 
To substantiate Bucher reflects on the fact that the solution is aimed at any end-user not necessarily report writing specialists and is designed to use standard SAP R/3 reporting functionality to ensure consistency in look and feel. It is designed to offer flexibility in reporting layout and straightforward navigation.
 
Furthermore SpinifexIT reduces ABAP development requirements for special reports which equates to a reduction in costs. It also assists the financial department by producing reports with true split costing information and leave accrual data, as well as providing centralised reporting.
 
“With this solution users can manipulate and effectively manage data. Data can be downloaded to Excel and Word programs, display data at a summary level, drill data down to a detailed level and display this information in a report layout that suits the user’s requirements,” Bucher adds.
